Summary
I'm Chiara Sapio, a 3D artist and computer engineer.
For the last 7 years, I've been focusing mainly on props and environment modeling and texturing, but also rigging, animating, rendering (and sculpting when asked) for both the real-time and animation industries, mainly working fully remote.

One of my favorites is definitely my graduation project where I was in charge of a small team to recreate the Game Of Thrones intro, but with Italian cities. In that case, I was responsible for the whole pre-production, production and post-production pipelines, going from concept to storyboarding, modeling, texturing, rigging, rendering, animation and video editing.

Most recently, a project I really enjoyed working on was one sponsored by TIM Group(Italian telecommunications services provider ) who was also funding the restoration of the Mausoleo di Augusto in Rome.
I was responsible for the modeling and texturing of the VR and AR versions of the original monument that was built around 1st century BC, and the obelisk that worked as a sundial and that we then turned into a working sundial into the AR app, something I am incredibly proud of.
Modeling and texturing were based on references and blueprints that I was given by the archeologists and the team who had been studying the building and was then supervising our project.

During the last one year and a half I've been building environments for the metaverse both for VR and web, re-creating existing places based on references sent by our clients, or just starting from scratch, having also to develop concept art on the go, for VR escape rooms and other games.
Crafting worlds that people can enjoy and explore and where they can spend some time to take a break from everyday life, play games, hang out with friends, is what I love the most, focusing on the details but also being able to get the most out of optimized models that grant users a smooth and entertaining experience and that is why I am applying for this job.
